What counts as an action?

One action is one use of one app: one Mail search, one look at your calendar, one reminder added. A single question to your assistant can use a few actions when it checks more than one thing. Asking Pomeroy how many actions you have left never costs one.

What happens when the free allowance runs out?

Nothing breaks. Your assistant tells you plainly that the week’s 50 actions are used and when they refill — a week after the count started. Your apps and settings stay exactly as they were, and your assistant keeps working; it just cannot reach your Mac apps until the allowance refills.

Is there a subscription?

No. $19 once removes the weekly limit for good, and the licence includes updates to Pomeroy 1. A later major version may require a separate purchase; the version you bought keeps working either way.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. Lemon Squeezy handles purchases as merchant of record; if anything goes wrong, email hello@pomeroy.app and it will be sorted out.

How many Macs does a licence cover?

A licence covers one Mac at a time. To move to a new Mac, choose Deactivate this Mac in Pomeroy’s Licence settings on the old one, then enter the same key on the new one — there is no limit on how often you move it. If the old Mac is gone and you cannot deactivate it, email hello@pomeroy.app and the key will be freed for you. The terms have the detail.

How does Pomeroy compare with iMCP, Macuse and LMCP?

iMCP and LMCP are free and Macuse is $49 once, so Pomeroy is neither the cheapest nor the dearest. It is the read-mostly one: your assistant can search and read your apps but cannot send mail or a message from them. Each rival has an honest comparison page here, with prices, app coverage and dates: Pomeroy vs iMCP, Pomeroy vs Macuse, Pomeroy vs LMCP, apple-mcp is archived. What should you use instead?.

How many AI assistants can I connect?

As many as you like, on either tier. The weekly allowance is per Mac and shared across every assistant you connect: 50 actions a week free, whichever assistant asks, and no limit at all once you have paid. The assistants Pomeroy sets itself up in are listed with what each takes.

Do I need to pay for an AI assistant as well?

Pomeroy works with the AI assistant you already have: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and others, each with its own maker, plans and prices. If you have none yet, Claude Desktop is free to download. Pomeroy is independent of all of them.
