Can my AI assistant check the weather?

Yes. Once you switch Weather on in Pomeroy, your assistant can read current conditions and a daily forecast for any place you name, with temperatures in Celsius and the chance of rain per day.

Does this share my location?

No. The weather actions take place names, like Lisbon, never your location. When you ask, one request goes to Apple carrying the coordinates of the place you named — that request is listed on Pomeroy's privacy page, and it is the only thing a weather question sends anywhere.

Where do the weather answers come from?

Apple. Pomeroy uses WeatherKit, the same source as the Weather app on your Mac, and never calls a third-party weather service. Apple says location in a weather request is used only to provide forecasts, is not associated with personally identifying information, and is never shared or sold.
