What an action is
One action is one tool call: one mail search, one look at your calendar, one reminder added, one shortcut run. A single question can cost more than one action. “What’s on my calendar today and is anything double-booked with a reminder?” is two apps, so at least two actions. Nothing breaks and nothing is lost. Every tool answers with a message that says what happened, when the count refills, and what to do about it. The assistant relays that to you rather than inventing an error. Your data is untouched. Your toggles are untouched. The next window starts a week after the current one began, and the count goes back to 50.Why the clock cannot be cheated
The meter measures a week with your Mac’s monotonic clock, the seconds since boot, which counts time spent asleep and which no System Settings change can move. Winding the date forward does not refill it. The ordinary clock is used only where nothing else can answer, across a reboot, and only ever forwards. This is not distrust so much as arithmetic: a meter that measured weeks with a settable clock would not be measuring weeks.Removing the limit
