How to connect chatwise to apple calendar

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Calendar.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your calendar. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside ChatWise.

    Pomeroy puts the configuration on your clipboard as JSON. In ChatWise, Settings › Tools › + › Import JSON from Clipboard adds it.

    Paste it into ChatWise.

    Paste the configuration into ChatWise › Settings › Tools › + › Import JSON from Clipboard. In ChatWise, Settings › Tools lists Pomeroy. Switch it on for a chat and the tools appear.

    Ask ChatWise something.

    Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.

Can ChatWise see my Apple Calendar?

Yes. Once you switch Calendar on in Pomeroy, ChatWise can read today, any day, or a whole range of days, across every calendar your Mac shows. Times come back in your Mac's own time zone.

Can ChatWise change my calendar?

Yes, when you ask. ChatWise can create an event and change one you name, and it changes only the fields you mention. A recurring event changes only that one occurrence. It cannot delete an event.

Is it safe to connect ChatWise to Apple Calendar?

Pomeroy reads your calendar on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What ChatWise reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Calendar starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

ChatWise does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether ChatWise is connected right now.
