How to connect cursor to apple calendar

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Cursor first if it is not there yet.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Calendar.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your calendar. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside Cursor.

    Pomeroy opens Cursor's own install link. Cursor shows a dialog with the command it is about to add and asks you to confirm. If Cursor does not respond, Pomeroy writes the same entry to Cursor's configuration file.

    Check Cursor.

    In Cursor's settings, the MCP section lists pomeroy with its tools. In a chat, agent mode can call them. You may need to restart Cursor.

Can Cursor see my Apple Calendar?

Yes. Once you switch Calendar on in Pomeroy, Cursor can read today, any day, or a whole range of days, across every calendar your Mac shows. Times come back in your Mac's own time zone.

Can Cursor change my calendar?

Yes, when you ask. Cursor can create an event and change one you name, and it changes only the fields you mention. A recurring event changes only that one occurrence. It cannot delete an event.

Is it safe to connect Cursor to Apple Calendar?

Pomeroy reads your calendar on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Cursor reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Calendar starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

Cursor does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Try restarting Cursor; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Cursor is connected right now.
