How to connect claude to apple calendar

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Calendar.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your calendar. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside Claude Desktop.

    Pomeroy opens the Claude extension it ships with, and Claude Desktop shows its own install prompt. Approve it. Nothing is written to Claude's configuration file.

    Check Claude Desktop.

    In Claude Desktop, open Settings › Extensions and Pomeroy is listed. In a new chat, the tools menu under the message box shows Pomeroy's tools, one set for each app you switched on. Quit Claude Desktop and open it again.

    Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.

Can Claude see my Apple Calendar?

Yes. Once you switch Calendar on in Pomeroy, Claude can read today, any day, or a whole range of days, across every calendar your Mac shows. Times come back in your Mac's own time zone.

Can Claude change my calendar?

Yes, when you ask. Claude can create an event and change one you name, and it changes only the fields you mention. A recurring event changes only that one occurrence. It cannot delete an event.

Is it safe to connect Claude to Apple Calendar?

Pomeroy reads your calendar on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Claude reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Calendar starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

Claude Desktop does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Quit Claude Desktop completely and open it again; it reads its configuration when it starts. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Claude Desktop is connected right now.
