Place names, not coordinates
Both tools take names on purpose. It keeps them working with Location
switched off, and it means the only thing sent anywhere is the place you
named, not where you are.
No public transport

Apple does not offer transit routing on a Mac. Driving and walking are what
MapKit answers, so they are what Pomeroy serves.
Maps has no permission prompt
Maps has no permission prompt
MapKit answers any app that asks, so macOS never prompts for it. The toggle
in Pomeroy is the entire gate, which is why it still starts off.
