Switch Reminders on and an assistant can see what is outstanding, add to it, and tick things off.

Change a reminder after it is created, other than marking it done

Worth knowing

Completed reminders are hidden unless asked for

reminders_list returns only incomplete reminders by default. An assistant has to ask for finished ones explicitly, so “what’s outstanding?” does not come back padded with last month’s.

Completing is safe to repeat

Marking a reminder done twice does what doing it once did. Nothing is lost if an assistant retries.

You cannot un-complete one from here

There is no tool for it. Reopen it in the Reminders app.

Permissions

Switching Reminders on asks macOS for access to your reminders (NSRemindersFullAccessUsageDescription). Reminders and Calendar are separate prompts, even though both go through EventKit.
