    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Notes.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may control Notes, which is how one Mac app reads another's notes. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside JetBrains AI Assistant.

    Pomeroy puts the configuration on your clipboard as JSON. In your IDE, open Settings › Tools › AI Assistant › Model Context Protocol (MCP), press + and choose As JSON, paste, and set Level to Global so every JetBrains IDE gets it.

    Paste it into JetBrains AI Assistant.

    Paste the configuration into Settings › Tools › AI Assistant › Model Context Protocol (MCP) › + › As JSON. The MCP list in that settings pane shows Pomeroy with a green status once you press Apply.

Can JetBrains AI Assistant read my Apple Notes?

Yes. Once you switch Notes on in Pomeroy, JetBrains AI Assistant can list your notes by name and read any one of them in full. Note bodies come back as plain text.

Can JetBrains AI Assistant change or delete a note?

No. JetBrains AI Assistant can create a new note, and that is the only writing it does. An existing note is never edited, moved, or deleted.

Is it safe to connect JetBrains AI Assistant to Apple Notes?
