    Paste the configuration into Settings › Tools › AI Assistant › Model Context Protocol (MCP) › + › As JSON. The MCP list in that settings pane shows Pomeroy with a green status once you press Apply.

Can JetBrains AI Assistant use Apple Maps?

Yes. Once you switch Maps on in Pomeroy, JetBrains AI Assistant can search for places near a named place and route between two named places, driving or walking, with the distance and the expected time.

Does this share my location?

No. The maps actions take place names, like Borough Market, never coordinates. Pomeroy has a separate Location toggle for the one action that reads where your Mac is, and it stays off unless you switch it on.

Can JetBrains AI Assistant plan a train journey?

No. Apple does not route public transport on a Mac, so Pomeroy offers driving and walking only. For a train journey, JetBrains AI Assistant can still tell you the walking route to the station.

Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether JetBrains AI Assistant is connected right now.
