How to connect your AI assistant to Apple Maps

Can my AI assistant use Apple Maps?

Yes. Once you switch Maps on in Pomeroy, your assistant can search for places near a named place and route between two named places, driving or walking, with the distance and the expected time.

Does this share my location?

No. The maps actions take place names, like Borough Market, never coordinates. Pomeroy has a separate Location toggle for the one action that reads where your Mac is, and it stays off unless you switch it on.

Can my AI assistant plan a train journey?

No. Apple does not route public transport on a Mac, so Pomeroy offers driving and walking only. For a train journey, your assistant can still tell you the walking route to the station.
