How to connect Pomeroy to Cursor

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Cursor first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.

Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.
Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.

Press Set up beside Cursor.
Pomeroy opens Cursor's own install link. Cursor shows a dialog with the command it is about to add and asks you to confirm. If Cursor does not respond, Pomeroy writes the same entry to Cursor's configuration file.

Check Cursor.
In Cursor's settings, the MCP section lists pomeroy with its tools. In a chat, agent mode can call them. You may need to restart Cursor.

Ask Cursor something.
Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.

What Cursor can do with each app

Cursor does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Try restarting Cursor; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Cursor is connected right now.

Pomeroy did not list Cursor.

Pomeroy looks for Cursor the way macOS does: by its app, by its command in the usual install locations, and by the folder it keeps its settings in. If Cursor is installed somewhere unusual, paste the configuration above by hand; the connection works whether or not Pomeroy found Cursor first.

Nothing comes back when I ask.

Check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy, and that the week's 50 free actions are not used up. Pomeroy says so in the answer if they are, and the count refills a week after it started.
