How to connect cursor to apple reminders

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Cursor first if it is not there yet.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside Cursor.

    Pomeroy opens Cursor's own install link. Cursor shows a dialog with the command it is about to add and asks you to confirm. If Cursor does not respond, Pomeroy writes the same entry to Cursor's configuration file.

    Check Cursor.

    In Cursor's settings, the MCP section lists pomeroy with its tools. In a chat, agent mode can call them. You may need to restart Cursor.

    Ask Cursor something.

    Try “Remind me to renew my passport next Friday.” and a real answer comes back.

Can Cursor see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, Cursor can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can Cursor tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. Cursor can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect Cursor to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Cursor reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

Cursor does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Try restarting Cursor; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Cursor is connected right now.
