    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Mail.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may control Mail, which is how one Mac app reads another's mail. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

Can Gemini CLI read my Apple Mail?

Yes. Once you switch Mail on in Pomeroy, Gemini CLI can list your mailboxes, read messages, and search your mail. Searches cover subjects and senders, and message bodies through an index built and kept on your Mac.

Can Gemini CLI send email for me?

No. Pomeroy has no way to send, reply, or forward, so Gemini CLI cannot be talked into it. If you want a reply written, Gemini CLI can draft the words and you send them yourself.

Is it safe to connect Gemini CLI to Apple Mail?
