    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside Gemini CLI.

    Pomeroy runs Gemini CLI's own mcp add command with user scope, so Pomeroy is there in every project rather than one folder.

    Check Gemini CLI.

    Run gemini mcp list and pomeroy is listed. Inside a session, /mcp shows it with its tools. Start a new Gemini CLI session.

Can Gemini CLI see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, Gemini CLI can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can Gemini CLI tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. Gemini CLI can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect Gemini CLI to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Gemini CLI reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.
