How to connect your AI assistant to Apple Reminders

    Download Pomeroy.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy adds an icon to your menu bar and opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. They all start switched off.

    macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Choose your AI assistant.

    Pomeroy lists the AI assistants it finds on this Mac. Press Set up beside yours: most take one click, and the rest take a configuration Pomeroy copies for you.

    Ask your assistant.

    Try “Remind me to renew my passport next Friday.” and a real answer comes back.

Can my AI assistant see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, your assistant can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can my AI assistant tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. Your assistant can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect an AI assistant to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What your assistant reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.
