How to connect kiro to apple reminders

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Kiro first if it is not there yet.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside Kiro.

    Pomeroy opens Kiro's own install link and Kiro asks you to confirm before anything is written. Kiro watches its configuration file, so the server connects as soon as you accept.

    Check Kiro.

    In Kiro's MCP panel, pomeroy is listed and shown as connected, with its tools underneath it.

    Ask Kiro something.

    Try “Remind me to renew my passport next Friday.” and a real answer comes back.

Can Kiro see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, Kiro can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can Kiro tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. Kiro can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect Kiro to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Kiro reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

Kiro does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Kiro is connected right now.
