How to connect cline to apple reminders

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Cline first if it is not there yet.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside Cline.

    Pomeroy adds pomeroy to Cline's settings file, leaving every other server in it untouched. Cline watches that file and reconnects the servers that changed.

    Check Cline.

    In Cline's MCP Servers view, pomeroy is listed and connected. In the terminal, cline config mcp shows the same entry.

    Ask Cline something.

    Try “Remind me to renew my passport next Friday.” and a real answer comes back.

Can Cline see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, Cline can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can Cline tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. Cline can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect Cline to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Cline reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Cline is connected right now.
