How to connect warp to apple reminders
Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Warp first if it is not there yet.
- 1
Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.
Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.
- 2
Press Set up beside Warp.
Pomeroy puts the configuration on your clipboard. Paste it into Warp's .mcp.json, or into Warp's MCP settings, keeping any servers already there.
- 3
Paste it into Warp.
Paste the configuration into ~/.warp/.mcp.json. In Warp's MCP servers settings, Pomeroy is listed. Start it from there if it is not running. You may need to restart Warp.
- 4
Ask Warp something.
Try “Remind me to renew my passport next Friday.” and a real answer comes back.
The configuration, in full
Set up writes it for you. The documentation has the exact text, where it goes, and how to check it worked.
Can Warp see my Apple Reminders?
Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, Warp can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.
Can Warp tick things off?
Yes, when you ask. Warp can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.
Is it safe to connect Warp to Apple Reminders?
Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What Warp reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.
Warp does not show Pomeroy's tools.
Try restarting Warp; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Warp is connected right now.
