How to connect goose to apple reminders

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install goose first if it is not there yet.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside goose.

    Pomeroy puts an extensions entry on your clipboard. Paste it into goose's config.yaml, keeping any extensions already there.

    Paste it into goose.

    Paste the configuration into ~/.config/goose/config.yaml. In goose, the extensions list (Settings › Extensions in the desktop app, or goose configure in the Terminal) shows Pomeroy enabled. Start a new goose session.

Can goose see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, goose can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can goose tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. goose can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect goose to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What goose reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

Start a new goose session; a running one keeps the tool list it started with. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether goose is connected right now.
