How to connect opencode to apple reminders

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install OpenCode first if it is not there yet.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on Apple Reminders.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. macOS asks whether Pomeroy may access your reminders. The prompt names Pomeroy, and nothing is requested until you flip the toggle.

    Press Set up beside OpenCode.

    Pomeroy runs OpenCode's own mcp add command, naming the server so the command completes on its own rather than opening a prompt. It always writes your user configuration.

    Check OpenCode.

    Run opencode mcp list and pomeroy is listed, with its tools available in a session. You may need to restart OpenCode.

    Ask OpenCode something.

    Try “Remind me to renew my passport next Friday.” and a real answer comes back.

Can OpenCode see my Apple Reminders?

Yes. Once you switch Reminders on in Pomeroy, OpenCode can read every list or just one, with incomplete reminders first and the soonest due date at the top.

Can OpenCode tick things off?

Yes, when you ask. OpenCode can mark a reminder done, and that is the only change it can make to an existing reminder. It cannot delete one, and it cannot un-tick one.

Is it safe to connect OpenCode to Apple Reminders?

Pomeroy reads your reminders on your Mac and sends nothing to a Pomeroy server. What OpenCode reads becomes part of your conversation, the same as text you paste in. Reminders starts switched off, and you can switch it off again at any time. Pomeroy is an independent app, not made by Anthropic.

OpenCode does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Try restarting OpenCode; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether OpenCode is connected right now.
