Connect Pomeroy to Warp
Yes, Warp works with Pomeroy. Pomeroy writes the configuration for Warp and you paste it in. Then Warp can reach Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps, Shortcuts and Weather on your Mac, each app behind its own switch in Pomeroy, and nothing leaves your Mac except what you ask for.
Free for 50 actions a week. No account, no card. Or get Warp first.
How to connect Pomeroy to Warp
Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Warp first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.
- 1
Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.
Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.
- 2
Press Set up beside Warp.
Pomeroy puts the configuration on your clipboard. Paste it into Warp's .mcp.json, or into Warp's MCP settings, keeping any servers already there.
- 3
Paste it into Warp.
Paste the configuration into ~/.warp/.mcp.json. In Warp's MCP servers settings, Pomeroy is listed. Start it from there if it is not running. You may need to restart Warp.
- 4
Ask Warp something.
Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.
The configuration, in full
You do not need it — Set up writes it for you. The documentation has the exact text, where it goes, how to check it worked, and how to use the local HTTP endpoint.
What Warp can do with each app
One page per app: what Warp can and cannot do there, the macOS prompt to expect, and things to ask.
Warp does not show Pomeroy's tools.
Try restarting Warp; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Warp is connected right now.
Pomeroy did not list Warp.
Pomeroy looks for Warp the way macOS does: by its app, by its command in the usual install locations, and by the folder it keeps its settings in. If Warp is installed somewhere unusual, paste the configuration above by hand; the connection works whether or not Pomeroy found Warp first.
Nothing comes back when I ask.
Check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy, and that the week's 50 free actions are not used up. Pomeroy says so in the answer if they are, and the count refills a week after it started.
