How to connect Pomeroy to GitHub Copilot CLI

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install GitHub Copilot CLI first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.

    Press Set up beside GitHub Copilot CLI.

    Pomeroy runs Copilot CLI's own mcp add command, which always writes your user configuration rather than one project's.

    Check GitHub Copilot CLI.

    Run copilot mcp list and pomeroy is listed. Inside a session, /mcp show pomeroy gives its tools.

GitHub Copilot CLI does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether GitHub Copilot CLI is connected right now.
