Connect Pomeroy to Cherry Studio
Yes, Cherry Studio works with Pomeroy. Pomeroy sets itself up in Cherry Studio with one click. Then Cherry Studio can reach Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps, Shortcuts and Weather on your Mac, each app behind its own switch in Pomeroy, and nothing leaves your Mac except what you ask for.
Free for 50 actions a week. No account, no card. Or get Cherry Studio first.
How to connect Pomeroy to Cherry Studio
Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Cherry Studio first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.
- 1
Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.
Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.
- 2
Press Set up beside Cherry Studio.
Pomeroy opens Cherry Studio's install link and Cherry Studio shows the command it is about to add, with Cancel and Install. Nothing is written until you accept.
- 3
Check Cherry Studio.
In Cherry Studio, Settings › MCP Server lists pomeroy. Switch it on, then ask a new chat what tools it has. You may need to restart Cherry Studio.
- 4
Ask Cherry Studio something.
Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.
The configuration, in full
You do not need it — Set up writes it for you. The documentation has the exact text, where it goes, how to check it worked, and how to use the local HTTP endpoint.
What Cherry Studio can do with each app
One page per app: what Cherry Studio can and cannot do there, the macOS prompt to expect, and things to ask.

Cherry Studio does not show Pomeroy's tools.
Try restarting Cherry Studio; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Cherry Studio is connected right now.
Pomeroy did not list Cherry Studio.
Pomeroy looks for Cherry Studio the way macOS does: by its app, by its command in the usual install locations, and by the folder it keeps its settings in. If Cherry Studio is installed somewhere unusual, paste the configuration above by hand; the connection works whether or not Pomeroy found Cherry Studio first.
Nothing comes back when I ask.
Check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy, and that the week's 50 free actions are not used up. Pomeroy says so in the answer if they are, and the count refills a week after it started.
