Connect · A native Mac app for any model
Connect Pomeroy to BoltAI
Yes, BoltAI works with Pomeroy. Pomeroy writes the configuration for BoltAI and you paste it in. Then BoltAI can reach Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps, Shortcuts and Weather on your Mac, each app behind its own switch in Pomeroy, and nothing leaves your Mac except what you ask for.
Free for 50 actions a week. No account, no card. Or get BoltAI first.
How to connect Pomeroy to BoltAI
Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install BoltAI first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.
- 1
Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.
Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.
- 2
Press Set up beside BoltAI.
Pomeroy puts the configuration on your clipboard. In BoltAI, open Settings › Plugins, press +, paste, and save. There is no restart: choose Reload Config from the ⋯ menu.
- 3
Paste it into BoltAI.
Paste the configuration into BoltAI › Settings › Plugins › + (then ⋯ › Reload Config). In BoltAI, open Settings › Plugins and pomeroy is listed. Enable it for a chat and the tools appear.
- 4
Ask BoltAI something.
Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.
The configuration, in full
You do not need it — Set up writes it for you. The documentation has the exact text, where it goes, how to check it worked.
What BoltAI can do with each app
One page per app: what BoltAI can and cannot do there, the macOS prompt to expect, and things to ask.
BoltAI does not show Pomeroy's tools.
Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether BoltAI is connected right now.
Pomeroy did not list BoltAI.
Pomeroy looks for BoltAI the way macOS does: by its app, by its command in the usual install locations, and by the folder it keeps its settings in. If BoltAI is installed somewhere unusual, paste the configuration above by hand; the connection works whether or not Pomeroy found BoltAI first.
Nothing comes back when I ask.
Check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy, and that the week's 50 free actions are not used up. Pomeroy says so in the answer if they are, and the count refills a week after it started.
