Connect Pomeroy to Kiro
Yes, Kiro works with Pomeroy. Pomeroy sets itself up in Kiro with one click. Then Kiro can reach Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps, Shortcuts and Weather on your Mac, each app behind its own switch in Pomeroy, and nothing leaves your Mac except what you ask for.
Free for 50 actions a week. No account, no card. Or get Kiro first.
How to connect Pomeroy to Kiro
Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Kiro first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.
- 1
Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.
Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.
- 2
Press Set up beside Kiro.
Pomeroy opens Kiro's own install link and Kiro asks you to confirm before anything is written. Kiro watches its configuration file, so the server connects as soon as you accept.
- 3
Check Kiro.
In Kiro's MCP panel, pomeroy is listed and shown as connected, with its tools underneath it.
- 4
Ask Kiro something.
Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.
The configuration, in full
You do not need it — Set up writes it for you. The documentation has the exact text, where it goes, how to check it worked, and how to use the local HTTP endpoint.
What Kiro can do with each app
One page per app: what Kiro can and cannot do there, the macOS prompt to expect, and things to ask.
Kiro does not show Pomeroy's tools.
Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Then check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy: an app that is off serves no tools. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Kiro is connected right now.
Pomeroy did not list Kiro.
Pomeroy looks for Kiro the way macOS does: by its app, by its command in the usual install locations, and by the folder it keeps its settings in. If Kiro is installed somewhere unusual, paste the configuration above by hand; the connection works whether or not Pomeroy found Kiro first.
Nothing comes back when I ask.
Check that the app you asked about is switched on in Pomeroy, and that the week's 50 free actions are not used up. Pomeroy says so in the answer if they are, and the count refills a week after it started.
