How to connect Pomeroy to Msty Studio

Pomeroy lists the assistants it finds on this Mac, so install Msty Studio first if it is not there yet. Coming back to Pomeroy’s window re-checks.

    Download Pomeroy and switch on your apps.

    Open the download, drag Pomeroy into Applications, and open it. Pomeroy opens a setup window listing every app it can connect. Switch on the ones you want, and macOS asks you to approve each.

    Press Set up beside Msty Studio.

    Pomeroy copies the two values. In Msty Studio, open Toolbox, press Add New Tool, choose STDIO / JSON, and fill them in.

    Paste it into Msty Studio.

    Paste the configuration into Msty Studio › Toolbox › Add New Tool › STDIO / JSON. In Msty Studio, open Toolbox › Tools and pomeroy is listed. Ask a new conversation what tools it has. You may need to restart Msty Studio.

    Ask Msty Studio something.

    Try “What’s on my calendar today?” and a real answer comes back.

What Msty Studio can do with each app

Msty Studio does not show Pomeroy's tools.

Try restarting Msty Studio; its documentation does not say whether it reloads on its own. Then press Set up again in Pomeroy, under Settings › Assistants: every way Pomeroy sets an assistant up is safe to run twice. Pomeroy's menu bar shows whether Msty Studio is connected right now.

Pomeroy did not list Msty Studio.

Pomeroy looks for Msty Studio the way macOS does: by its app, by its command in the usual install locations, and by the folder it keeps its settings in. If Msty Studio is installed somewhere unusual, paste the configuration above by hand; the connection works whether or not Pomeroy found Msty Studio first.

Nothing comes back when I ask.
